Hot chocolate

Do you love Hot Chocolate just like me? If yes, go ahead and read the recipe.

And, please do not confuse it with hot cocoa because it's thick ,creamy and so easy to cook :)

Milk - 3 cups

Dark cocoa powder - ¼ cup

Dark chocolate chips/chopped - 1 cup

Sugar / Maple Syrup / Honey - optional & as per taste

Some whipped cream - for garnish

Serves - 4 small cups of hot chocolate

  1. Place the milk into a thick-bottomed pot on low heat and bring to a low simmer. Whisk once in a while to ensure that the milk doesn't stick to the bottom of the pan.

  2. Add dark cocoa powder and whisk it. Lumps of dark cocoa will vanish slowly as the milk will become hotter.

  3. Once you can see milk bubbles on the surface then add dark chocolate chips/chopped pieces.

  4. Keep whisking it from time to time. If you want, please add sugar/maple syrup/honey as per your taste. I like my hot chocolate a little bitter, so skipped this step.

  5. Once the chocolate is completely melted, pour it into cups and top with a dollop of whipped cream.

  6. Dust some cocoa powder and enjoy.
